As a Lead Engineer, you will work in the Engineering department of the Dredge Equipment unit and you will be based in Kinderdijk. This department produces custom-built and standard dredging mission equipment. You will be responsible for timely and within budget delivery of on spec (OSBIT) engineering packages for the several dredging equipment/components within the projects. You will be in close contact and cooperation with other disciplines within IHC to look after the stakeholders interests. As a Lead Engineer you will also settle and check on interfacing, taking the lead role in the shipbuilding engineering project team for the dredging mission equipment and team up with the assigned dredge equipment engineers. In addition, you will work according to customer requirements, technical and operational guidelines to contribute to quality, safety, sustainability and efficient production processes for installations and equipment.
To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
- a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or other technical discipline, for example aerospace engineering
- at least five years of relevant experience in a similar role
- excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
- team player with a customer-oriented attitude and commercial awareness approach
- a good command of English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
