Your job

As a Technical Purchaser, you will be responsible for the following:

  • purchasing materials, components, casting, construction and machining work and services
  • negotiating (within set frameworks) prices and delivery times
  • checking drawings, dimensional protocols and inspection reports
  • preparing deviation reports, coordinating repair plans and the actions necessary (in case of deviations)
  • coordinating with colleagues and drafting and placing orders in the ERP system
  • checking orders against the confirmations and discussing any deviations from the order with the supplier
  • monitoring all relevant supply chain information (such as quotes, orders and correspondence) and taking appropriate action if necessary
  • preparing reports within hierarchical and functional lines (for projects and programmes)
  • monitoring delivery times and conditions, and taking action in the event of (potential) overruns or conflict situations.

Your profile

To be eligible for the position of Technical Purchaser, you must have the following:

  • at least a Dutch senior secondary vocational (MBO level 4) diploma and a technical education is preferred, but not obligatory
  • several years of relevant working experience in a similar role at a technical production and/or offshore company
  • an NEVI-MIL and/or NEVI-1 and/or an SCC certificate are strongly preferred
  • integrity, precision, the ability to cooperate, decisiveness and focused focus on results and quality
  • an excellent command of Dutch and English, both written and verbal
  • only candidates with work visa will be considered as viable candidates
  • an online assessment and screening can be part of the recruitment process.
