Your job

Goals assigment or thesis:

  • make a model description of an existing gas spring model

The IHC Hydrohammer® is used to drive piles into the soil. This hammer contains some gas springs in the hydraulic- and mechanical system.
These springs are compressed and decompressed during every stroke of the hammer. This is a highly dynamic process. The behavior of the springs is very important for the functioning of the hammer. A matlab-simulink model of these springs is already available.
Extensive measurements to measure the behavior of these springs are executed in the past. The measurement results can be used to validate the model and improve it if necessary.
