As an Electrical Service Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance on various installations and equipment. You will work in a matrix organisational structure, where you will be scheduled by the Production Manager on various projects. From that point, your operations will be overseen by the Service Manager. You will be able to consult in advance with the Service Manager about the task to be performed. After which, you will collect the necessary materials, parts and tools to be able to carry out the work within set timescales, and in accordance with work and safety instructions. You will be required to test the installations you have assembled, as well as register and report the test results.
In the case of service projects, you will find defects, identify a solution and, when approved, independently carry out any required work. You will ensure the careful planning of the project, being responsible for the creation of a time and materials list, as well as making sure that the project administration is accurately maintained. In this role, you will make proposals about improvements that could be made to our design and production methods, in addition to advising the Production Manager about the recommended tools and materials to use. You will work closely with the relevant departments, other production and service technicians, as well as have contact with customers and end users.
We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience in the field of assembling and maintaining technical equipment. You will be used to working in an environment where strict safety regulations apply. You will not compromise on quality and safety, and will always put the welfare of the user at the centre of your work. Working in an organised and neat way are strict requirements of the role. You will be involved, passionate and enterprising. Punctuality and reliability will also characterise your way of working. You will be located in Raamsdonksveer. However, with our customers being located worldwide, regular (short) international travel will form part of the role. As such, you will be able to independently carry out your work duties on location. Furthermore, to be eligible for the role of Electrical (Service) Technician, you must have:
- a higher vocational education (HBO) in mechatronics (specialising in electrical engineering)
- experience working in a technical environment, preferably in a production company with its own service provision
- the ability to keep an overview of complex projects in terms of size and technology
- experience of Microsoft Office
- a proactive, hands-on and flexible approach
- excellent language skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written
- strong communication skills
- a customer-oriented mindset
- only candidates with EU work visa will be considered as viable candidates
