As the Technical Support Engineer of Dredging Automation Equipment (DAE), you will be responsible for carrying out 2nd line engineering support within the Service department. You will be required to work as part of a team or alone, resolving service calls relating to in-house systems and products, including PLC, SCADA, DigiSys and PC networks. This role is generally executed at our office in Sliedrecht and occasionally on board dredging vessels. Our equipment comprises high standard field sensors, PLC controls, SCADA operations and PC networks.
To be eligible for the position, you must have:
- a technical bachelor degree level and an affinity for automation
- knowledge of the in-house systems and products we use
- the ability to act as an ambassador for our company with our customers
- excellent communication skills in English and Dutch, verbal and written
- the ability to be creative in proposing solutions
- a self-reliant, service-driven, result-oriented, solution-focused and stress resistant approach
- a VCA-VOL certificate
