As Order Coordinator, you will join our Logistics team, and be involved in – and responsible for – orders relating to the parts and logistics market. These orders can range from individual spare parts to complete assembled dredging equipment. You will ensure that orders are delivered according to the customer’s specification, within budget and on time (OSBIT). This will include organising the required inspections, documents and transportation to the customer. In this role, you will cooperate closely with our customers, as well as colleagues from our Logistics, Sales, Shipping, Purchasing and Warehousing departments. As the linchpin for planning and progress, you will manage the financial and technical risks of orders, in addition to measuring our performance against set targets internally. Using your natural flair for coordination, you will work according to OSBIT and always adopt a customer-first approach. You will also connect Logistics with our e-commerce ShipSupport team, and become an integral part of our aim to be the leading platform in the global maritime industry for the order of parts and services, and the exchange of knowledge.

Your profile

Royal IHC is looking for an Order Coordinator who has a strong customer focus, who will take care of online orders and is passionate about providing excellent service. You will also be able to critically assess our processes and give feedback in order to make improvements. In addition, to be eligible for this role, you must have:

  • bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or technical business administration
  • minimum of three years of experience in a comparable role within a technical order-based organisation
  • interest in working within a technical environment and knowledge of the maritime industry (desirable)
  • excellent planning and organisational skills, effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team 
  • self-starting, structured and proactive approach, flexible and curious mindset and the ability to successfully cooperate with other departments to provide the best customer experience
  • fluency in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
  • a valid EU work visa
  • an online assessment and screening may form part of the recruitment process.
