Part of Royal IHC, IHC SAS-Hytop is an ISO 9001 certified, independent company that specialises in motion control systems for the dredging, offshore and mining sectors. IHC is reorganising under its IHC2020 programme. This is to create an agile and robust structure in order to serve its customers more efficiently, as well as deliver projects on time, in budget and on specification. Consequently, it has launched the ONE IHC Programme, in which all business units are being integrated into one enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, namely IFS. Secondly, IHC is decentralising and professionalising its supply chain policies, procedures and systems. This means that these areas will be once again managed at business unit level.
These two factors have led to a new supply chain team being created and new structures implemented at IHC SAS-Hytop. In order to gain traction in building the supply chain organisation, a quick review was held based on the Michigan State University (MSU) model. The improvement points from this were merged into one supply chain plan. Currently, IHC SAS-Hytop (based in Sliedrecht) runs supply chain through the ISAH ERP system, whereas its branch office in Alphen aan den Rijn runs this through the Trimergo ERP system. As the Supply Chain Assistant, you will accurately maintain, update and improve the current supply chain ERP systems and master data sets in order to improve their effectiveness by December 2018. You will assist the Supply Chain Manager and his team in addressing any gaps found in the systems, chase delivery dates by calling and expediting suppliers, and consequently close the administration process. This will be achieved by calling, emailing and following up communications with key suppliers in order to complete the blanks of parameters such as lead time, minimum order quantities, payment terms, delivery conditions and contact details.
To be eligible for this role, you must have:
- an accurate, structured, neat and efficient approach
- ERP experience, preferably with regard to price list updates
- office-based expeditor experience and confidence in not taking “no” for an answer
- the ability to close administrative tasks.
