As Lead Systems Engineer, you will join IHC IQIP’s System Engineering department. This department is responsible for the hydraulic and control systems around our equipment. In order to maximize the quality and efficiency of equipment at optimum cost levels, we have a strict focus on customer requirements, regulations, and IHC engineering standards. The detailed engineering and production for the development of (customer-specific) one-off products and (new line) prototypes are carried out by suppliers. As the Lead Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • development of hydraulic and control systems for IHC IQIP technologies and equipment 
  • managing the development, production, and testing of prototypes at suppliers
  • handing over the equipment to customers, including relevant documentation and certification
  • keeping up with relevant engineering methods, tools and technologies in the market
  • sharing your knowledge by developing, improving, validating and implementing new and existing methods, tools, technologies, procedures and protocols
  • coordinating a team of engineers in the preparation and realisation of project deliverables
  • supporting the Service department in the case of a malfunction and by commissioning new products.
As Lead Systems Engineer you may be required to be based at IHC IQIP workshops or in the field, which could involve traveling locally or abroad.

Your profile

To be eligible for the role of Lead Systems Engineer at IHC IQIP, you must have:

  • relevant bachelor degree or higher
  • at least seven years of relevant work experience 
  • systems engineering background with experience in mechanic and hydraulic systems (or equivalent) with affinity for control and measuring systems or experience in control and measuring systems (or equivalent) with affinity for mechanic and hydraulic systems
  • ability to plan your own work, as well as the activities of your team members
  • flexibility and knowledge to work across various disciplines and share your ideas
  • ability to write and check technical documents, such as design and test specifications
  • ability to examine processed drawings for consistency with specifications, missing information, readability, and user-friendliness
  • independent, result-oriented and innovative approach, as well as a solution-focused and stress-resistant nature
  • ability to liaise with colleagues at all levels through excellent communication skills
  • excellent command of English written and verbal.
