Royal IHC held its second International Offshore Technology Seminar in Singapore on 12 October 2016. During the event, a wide range of our offshore solutions were presented, including our state-of-the-art module-handling tower, new offshore vessel design philosophy, saturation diving integration and rental solutions for offshore construction, IRM and decommissioning.

The seminar was also about sharing knowledge, and included presentations about today’s offshore wind developments, big data and condition monitoring on vessels. Guest speakers Jason Waldie, Head of Asia Pacific Douglas Westwood, discussed the global offshore market from an Asian perspective, and consultant Jean-Yves Massimili spoke about diving hyperbaric developments. Jørn-Andre Drabloø, Head of the Singapore Approval Centre Offshore Classification DNV-GL, also gave an insight into shaping classifications for the future and the next generation of hull rules.

“We’re delighted to have had our customers and business friends in the offshore industry together today” says Arjen Verhoeff, Area Sales Director. “It was held in a great setting, and we had several inspiring presentations about innovative solutions for the offshore industry. It was a great way to share knowledge and experience, also during the informal moments. The concept of these seminars works well, our first seminar in Houston was also a big success. The inspiration for our innovations are mainly driven by means of close cooperation with our customers. For sure, we’ll continue organizing these technical substantive events.”
