Successful Offshore technology day in Houston

On 18th of May 2016, Royal IHC successfully organized its first Offshore Technology Day in Houston, Texas (USA). During the seminar innovative equipment such as the state of the art Module handling tower, and cable lay equipment (including the IHC Hi-Traq) as well as developments in vessel design were presented. Also business innovations such as a rental model along with a local IHC Service hub were presented to the audience. Guest speakers were Karim Jan, Business Development Director from Subsea 7, who gave a vision on Dynamics of the subsea installation contracting market and Mike Sano, manager corporate global offshore from ABS, who showed a Class Perspective the Offshore Markets and explained the innovative approach by ABS to current technological developments. Thomas Agnevall, Area Sales Director: “Truly excited about this more than successful day. In a great setting with high quality presentations both presenters and delegates shared their thoughts on state of the art offshore technology. We originally planned for a bi-annual event, but with this success we are now considering our next seminar in Houston as soon as next year, perhaps with sponsor opportunities that will broaden the focus even further”.

The next IHC International Offshore Technology Day will be held in Singapore this fall.
