As global demand for high-speed internet and data connectivity surges, subsea fibre optic cable networks are expanding at an unprecedented rate. But with installations pushing into deeper waters and harsher seabeds, how can operators ensure cables are buried efficiently while minimising risk and downtime?

Meet the Sea Stallion FibrePro range - groundbreaking ploughs engineered to tackle tough seabed conditions with unmatched precision and reliability. The FibrePro and FibrePro Max are the latest evolution in our proven range of subsea ploughs, specifically engineered to enhance efficiency, reliability, and protection for critical subsea infrastructure.

Building on our proven expertise and by combining robust engineering with innovative enhancements, the Sea Stallion FibrePro ensures the long-term integrity of global communication networks while maximising efficiency for our clients.

This advanced plough offers:

  • excellent stability during ploughing
  • the raked share with forecutters excels in stiff soil, with or without jetting
  • easy upgrades to add a range of jetting solutions
  • cooler-running jetting system and umbilical for maximum performance in any climate.

Improve stability and trenching

The Sea Stallion FibrePro is a modular plough that can provide true 3.3m trench depths along with up to 600kW of jetting power. The plough uses Royal IHC’s proven raked share geometry with forecutters. The Royal IHC raked share design has improved stability in any soil conditions and improved trenching capability in stiff soils when compared with a ‘vertical knife’ share.

Boost efficiency with easy upgrades

The Sea Stallion FibrePro combines the latest technologies with almost 30 years of experience delivering successful plough systems across global markets.

Its modular nature means that upgrade options, such as jetting assemblies and share extensions can be easily installed onto the plough. Whether at the point of purchase or during the lifecycle of the plough, a range of upgrades can be seamlessly integrated to enhance performance and adapt to specific project requirements.

Lightweight for LARS compatibility

This plough has been designed to handle peak tow loads of up to 100 T at full 3.3 m trench depth while weighing only 25T in air. This low weight means the plough will be compatible with many existing launch and recovery systems.

Full plough spread including winch and control cabin

Full spread

In addition to the plough, a complete deployment spread may include an axial fleeting umbilical winch for cable handling and a dedicated power and control cabin to ensure seamless operation and monitoring.
