Partnership with Naval Group

In 2019, Royal IHC signed a partnership with Naval Group to compete in the tender for the replacement of Walrus-class submarines. On 15 March, 2024, the Netherlands Ministry of Defence announced that Naval Group will be awarded this contract.

Royal IHC will have a substantial role in this project. In preparation for this, dozens of workshops have been held jointly with Naval Group in recent years to share knowledge and align processes in preparation for the project.

As Dutch shipbuilder Royal IHC, we are proud to contribute to this strategic project, together with broad participation from the Dutch industry.
